A TPM 2.0 module is not mandatory on motherboards newer than Intel 100 series and AMD 300 series motherboards. I received the module, plugged it into my board, opened up the TPM administration console, cleared the TPM, restarted, pressed F12 to clear the TPM, got back into Windows and attempted to enable BitLocker on the OS drive. Support for Windows 7 64-bits, Windows 8.1 32/64-bits, Windows 10 64-bit. supported status may vary depending on motherboard specifications. I have purchased a TPM module (TPM-M R2.0) through Amazon. The GC-TPM2.0 SPI 2.0 is compatible with GIGABYTE motherboards of that include a TPM header on below: Intel platform: Intel 500 / 400 series / Z390 M GAMING.
